18" Horizontal, Fire Rated Chute Discharge Door Insert, "W" Series

“W” Series, Discharge Door accordion-style insert only for an 18" Type “AC” chute door assembly. Insert has a Class “B”, 1-1/2 hour, 250 degree UL label. Insert is equipped with a 165 degree fusible link designed to melt when the ambient temperature of a fire reaches 165 degrees. This action closes the door to stop fire from traveling up the chute into the building. Fusible link is replaceable. This discharge door insert is available for square or round chutes in the standard sizes of 18” to 48”. Insert fits into sheet metal flat square to round transition housing or standard square housing. Square 2-1/2", 6-1/2", and 12" or round 2-1/2", 6-1/2", and 12" extension collars will also accommodate this insert. Custom sizes are available upon request.

Discharge door insert is not designed to be used to shut off the chute. Insert cannot be installed without housing. We also offer a complete discharge door assembly. This is a direct replacement for the insert in the Western Chutes Type “AC” door. See attached spec’s to verify the dimensions of this product before ordering.
