Operator: 4" Pull Handle w/ Thumb Latch & Push Button Operation. When ADA compliance is required, these doors can be customized with ADA compliant lever handles.
Door panel/frame: Removable 1/2" shaft hinge with bronze bearings, removable door panel and stainless-steel trim. Door Panel made with 2-gauge type 304 stainless steel front and 18 gauge galvannealed steel back with 3/16" prime painted steel angle door frame. The door closer is mounted outside to the trash opening in a fully enclosed heavy-duty box to ensure years of trouble-free operation. Unlike other disposable doors, the Western Chutes, Compactors & Recycling Systems "W" Signature model can be completely disassembled while mounted on the wall, allowing every part to be cleaned, serviced, or replaced with ease.
Electrical Interlock System: Includes a 120vac Electrical Interlock with push button and in-use indicator light. The electrical interlock box comes in two sizes - short box measuring 17-1/4" wide by 3-5/16" high, and long box measures 21-1/4" wide by 4-7/8" high. Interlocks allow only one door open at a time to reduce clogging and enhance safety during peak usage periods. User must unlock the door by pressing the button then operating the latch or handle separately. Interlocks are normally locked so that in a power failure, doors can not be opened. This also allows all doors to be locked out by turning off the power switch when working beneath the chute, reducing liability and injuries.
Our 120vac electrical interlocked, chute-intake doors are engineered for use on a Class 2 circuit; therefore, the intake door electrical panels and components are UL listed. Wiring is with exposed (no conduit required) cable inside the shaft in most applications. Check with your local building authority regarding installation requirements. Requires basic or programmable control and power supply for operation.

Trim: Stainless Steel, available blank or embossed with "Rubbish", "Soiled Linen", or "Recycle".

A direct replacement for Wilkinson Chutes Canada and Chute Source #W-21R with interlocks (specify five or seven wire systems) and replaces easily with minimal wall repair. Can be retrofitted to other chutes with sheet metal adaptors and wall modifications to fit chute door openings for doors of the same size. However, interlock compatibility must be determined prior to ordering as a replacement.
